Corporate Sponsorship Promotional Overview

The National Capital Region (NCR) Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association invites your company to network and advertise your product or service to our alumni. This year, the chapter expects 116 participants in the golf tournament. A portion of the proceeds from the Hokie Open will go to the NCR Chapter Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to outstanding local students. Your sponsorship may be tax deductible – see your financial advisor for details.

The NCR Chapter is comprised of Virginia Tech alumni living in the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, and Fairfax, VA; the counties of Arlington and Fairfax, VA; Montgomery and Prince Georges, MD; and the District of Columbia. We are pleased to offer five levels of Hokie Open sponsorships. Each level contains a unique combination of two or more of the following VTAA, NCR Chapter promotions:

• Hokie Headlines – A multi-page newsletter produced in the winter and spring. Mailed to 27,000+ NCR Hokies.
• Hokie Happenings (email) – A monthly newsletter sent to 20,500+ Hokies in the DC area with frequent updates sent to 3,500+ Hokies.
• NCR Chapter website – www.ncrhokies.org. Our chapter website contains a page for all supporting companies. (Average yearly website is is 1,280,013)

For Sponsorship Requests (Deadline is May 23, 2008):

Complete the Hokie Open Registration Form. Ads and hole sign art/logos (based on sponsorship level) must be received by May 23, 2008 and follow these specs:

• Electronic files must be in these file formats: PDF, EPS, TIFF (300dpi), or InDesign. Please be sure to include any graphics and fonts used.
• You may also provide camera ready artwork (printed at high resolution on paper) which will be scanned. Electronic format is preferred. No camera ready film allowed.
• Dimensions for half-page ads must be 7.25" (W) x 5" (H).
• Dimensions for full-page ads must be 7.25" (W) x 10" (H).
• You may email all electronic files to gregdmerritt@aol.com. Please insert "Hokie Open Sponsor" in the subject and include a description of your sponsorship level and the materials you are providing in the message.
