18th Annual National Capital Region Job Fair: Information for Job Candidates

Who can attend the job fair?
Anyone can attend the job fair, not only Virginia Tech students and alumni! We get a mix of students, graduates, those with advanced degrees, and people with varying degrees of work experience.
HELP! It has been a while since I have been to a job fair. What can I expect?
We suggest that you check out the Virginia Tech Career Services Website here. Virginia Tech Career Services will also be presenting "How to Make the Most of a Job Fair" at 2:00pm ... an hour before the job fair starts. Come learn how to work the room, what to say to employers, and what they'll expect to hear from you!
How much does it cost to attend?
The job fair is FREE to all job seekers!
Do I have to register? How do I submit my résumé?
Plan to attend the fair? All candidates must register before entering the job fair. To save time when you arrive at the fair, we encourage you to register and submit your résumé prior to the event. If you register by March 5th at 5:00 p.m., your résumé will be included in the book which is distributed to all attending companies. Also bring plenty of résumés on March 10th!
Can't make the fair? That's OK. You may still submit your résumé for inclusion in the résumé book. We ask that you please take a moment to complete the brief marketing survey here so we may optimize our limited advertising dollars in the future. Once complete, please e-mail your resume to resumes@ncrhokies.org by March 5th at 5:00pm.
NOTE: If you email your résumé without registering and do attend the fair you will be asked to register on site which may delay your entry.

Will the job fair be held in inclement weather?
The job fair will be held as long as the Northern Virginia Center remains open. In the event of inclement weather, check this website for updates. Announcements will also be made on local television and radio networks.
